Wild onions in extra virgin olive oil, slightly bitter, cooked and flavored with only natural aroma, a real Puglia delight. These are small bulbs which grow naturally in the wild Murge Pugliese hills, they grow about 15-20 cm under the soil, rich in minerals and with a sweet and spicy scent. They are very similar to onions but with a particular and distinct flavor, and they are picked during fall and winter. Inside each jar you will find the freshness and intensity of each ingredient. These wild onions, like all our products, are made without the use of additives, preservatives or chemicals aroma. Our extra virgin olive oil is always part of these tasty ingredients which gives a unique plus.
Ingredients: Wild onions 62%, extra virgin olive oil 33%, wine vinegar, chili, salt.
Ideal as: Try them in combination with a risotto, the sweet taste of rice with the bitterness of the wild onions creates a truly delicious combination. A variation on this recipe, can be the addition of Oilalà’ tomatoes sauce, to give the dish a sweet and velvet touch.
Store: Please keep the jar in a dry and cool place, away from lights. After opening keep the product covered in its oil and consume within 20 days.
